• 1. first step (overnight soaking)

• - put soap nuts into a pot - cover with fresh water - leave to soak overnight

• 2. second step (cooking, ~1 hour+)

• - add 30 drops of each essential oil to the soaked soap nuts
• - bring to a boil and cook for about 1 hour - remove from heat and let cool completely

• 3. preparing water for diluting the concentrate (in parallel)

• - boil fresh water (not tap water) - allow water to boil for 1–3 minutes after reaching a rolling boil - let the boiled water cool down to room temperature

• 4. final step (assembling soap solution)

  • pour one quarter of a bottle of soap concentrate
  • dilute with cooled boiled water
• - separate the pits from the soap nut shells - grind the shells in a blender - add the ground shell mixture into bottles with soap liquid - plant the pits
